.925 Sterling Silver is a bright metal that is an alloy of pure silver with copper and zinc. Some manufacturers may use different metal combinations.   Our jewelry is made from Sterling Silver manufactured in the USA. The copper is what causes Sterling Silver to tarnish, but it can easily be cleaned up with a polishing cloth.
